Anti - Infection Measures At Cherry Blossom Viewing Sites In Tokyo

Anti-coronavirus measures are in place at a popular cherry blossom viewing site in Tokyo, where the flowers are at their peak of beauty.
Ueno Park, which is home to some 800 cherry trees, was bustling with visitors on Monday.
The park is calling on the flower-gazers to refrain from holding drinking parties on its premises.
Paths leading to popular areas have been divided down the center so that strollers must keep to one side. The restriction is part of efforts to dissuade visitors from remaining in one area.
One person said she came on Monday as the park would be crowded over the weekend. She added she had to keep on walking, but had no difficulty taking photos.
Food stalls in the park offered take-out menus of snacks that can be nibbled on while holding in one hand. One restaurant was seen selling light take-out meals from a food truck.
An official of the restaurant said it is a pity he cannot hear the laughter and delighted chatter of cherry blossom-viewers. But he said the restaurant will continue to search for ways to do business amid the coronavirus outbreak.
