Japan Foreign Minister In Poland To Aid Ukrainian Evacuees

Japan's Foreign Minister on Saturday arrived in Poland, where he will make arrangements to accept Ukrainian evacuees.
Hayashi Yoshimasa is scheduled to visit a facility hosting evacuees and hear from NGO workers who are helping them.
Hayashi plans to inspect the area bordering Ukraine and hold talks with senior Polish government officials. He will stay until early next week.
Before leaving Japan, Hayashi told reporters the government will provide all possible assistance to show solidarity with Ukraine.
He said Japan will study what the evacuees need and what issues must be dealt with to accept them.
Japan is considering putting some evacuees on Hayashi's return flight. Officials are also seeking accommodations for evacuees who choose to stay in Japan, and will help cover their living expenses.
