Sony has released firmware updates for a few of its 2020 smartphones. The recently released Xperia 5 II has been updated to build number 58.0.A.22.21, which adds October 2020 Android security patches. In addition, its budget Xperia L4 has seen an update to 57.0.A.2.258, which also adds October 2020 patches.

Sony is rolling the first firmware update for the Xperia 1 II, its newest flagship device. The update moves the build number to 58.0.A.3.31 and the latest June 2020 Android security patches. This update hit dual SIM devices (XQ-AT52) around a week ago, but is only rolling out to single SIM devices (XQ-AT51) today.

Sony is updating its two current flagships with a new firmware update that adds the 1 March 2020 Android security patches. The Sony Xperia 1 moves from build number 55.1.A.3.49 to version 55.1.A.3.107.
