2016 Scion Im Compact Hatch Gets Positive Review

2015 New York Auto Show : 2016 Scion iMWhile the 2016 Scion iA is a rebadged Mazda2 sedan, for the compact segment, Toyota chose one of its own models to give to Scion.
It’s the Toyota Auris hatchback sold in Europe and other countries which replaces the boxy Scion xD. So how good is the Auris as a Scion? Consumer Reports had a first contact with the 2016 Scion iM and had mostly nice things to say about it.

Surprisingly, the reviewer says it’s a fun car to drive which feels relatively nimble in corners. The ride is comfortable thanks to the quiet cabin and the suspension which absorbs the road’s irregularities with ease.

The 137hp 1.8-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine is just about enough for the Scion iM, although rival models from other carmakers typically offer 20 to 40hp more. But the biggest advantage for the 2016 Scion iM is its pricing, at just under $20,000 for the version equipped with the CVT. That’s hard to beat considering its comprehensive standard equipment.
