2017 Honda Civic Type R Spied Sporting Massive Rear Spoiler

2017 Honda Civic Type R Spied Sporting Massive Rear SpoilerThe Honda Civic Type R is getting more extreme each time it is spied testing.
Last time spy photographers caught the Civic Type R on camera, it was sporting a trio of exhaust tips and now the Japanese automaker has been caught testing a prototype on the Nurburgring.
Instead of the strange Acura front end seen on the last set of spy photos, this looks to be the real deal, sporting aggressive styling and a massive rear spoiler that was previously missing on other mules. And once again, the triple exhaust setup in the rear can be seen, hinting that it will make its way to production.

The 2017 Honda Civic Type R will continue to be powered by the same 2.0-liter turbocharged VTEC four-cylinder engine, but its power output is likely to increase from the current 306-horsepower figure. The current Civic Type R goes 0-62 mph in 5.7 seconds and holds the Nurburgring record for the fastest front-wheel drive car with a lap time of 7:50.

It is believed that this is the Civic Type R that will make its way to the U.S.
