A new automotive auction venture backed by highly experienced operators has chosen Hino trucks for their reliability, comfort and brand-enhancing appearance.
Central West Auto Auctions in Orange, NSW, has purchased a Hino 700 Series 2848 ProShift 16 Air and a Hino 500 Series FE 1426 to carry out daily car carrying duties.
The 700 Series tows a seven-car hydraulic trailer purchased from Top Start in Dandenong South, Victoria. The 500 series hauls a four-car trailer from Banmere in Silverdale, NSW.
Central West Auto Auctions general manager Greg Robinson, who has over 30 years' industry experience, said the Hino trucks were chosen after carefully comparing them with vehicles from several European and Japanese competitors.
"I looked around and I kept returning to the Hino brand, not only because of price but also service and the trucks' ability to cope with stringent vehicle pickup and delivery timelines," Mr Robinson said.
"It was also a priority for me to make sure my drivers were comfortable in their rigs, so both were fitted with several exterior and interior options including fridges, bunk air conditioning, vehicle navigation and trackers."
Mr Robinson said it was important that the trucks make the right statement about the new business.
"They're a prominent means of advertising when seen around the highways of Australia where they'll be clocking over 200,000 kilometres a year, and that's why we ordered them in red," Mr Robinson said.
"We receive a lot of positive comments on both trucks."
Mr Robinson also commended the performance of Hino Australia and West Orange Motors.
"From start to finish, West Orange Motors gave me 100 per cent customer satisfaction and 24-hour support, and the vehicle options were fitted with a no-problem attitude," he said.
"I thank the chairman of Hino Australia Steve Lotter for introducing me to Aaron Daniel, the dealer principal at West Orange Motors - I look forward to growing our business and relationship with them."
Central West Auto Auctions sell cars, as well as anything you can drive or tow, at fixed wholesale prices direct to the public.
