Greater Western Sydney GIANTS AFL stars have demonstrated goal kicking precision in Toyo Tires' newest TV commercial, #DRIVENTOPERFORM, that will air nationally from this weekend.
The TVC features senior GIANTS players Heath Shaw and Dylan Shiel rolling out the Toyo training tyres for an afternoon skills session. Shaw and Shiel face-off to hone their talent, producing incredible results.
Part of Toyo Tires' multi-million dollar co-major partnership with the GIANTS, the TVC will launch on stadium screens this Sunday at a home game at Manuka Oval in Canberra.
The TVC will air during AFL premiership matches and programs on Channel 7 and Fox Sports' Fox Footy channel.
The launch of the TVC coincides with Toyo Tires' #DRIVENTOPERFORM activation. Before, during and after the game GIANTS fans can snap selfies and post their 'game face' to Instagram using the hashtag for a chance to win a host of prizes, including a kick for cash.
The GIANTS have also just launched their new 'There's a GIANT in all of us' campaign encouraging fans to find their inner giant.
GIANTS All-Australian defender Heath Shaw said bringing tyres into training added another dimension when testing their skills.
"Training with the tyres keeps you sharp and having the cameras there certainly put us under the pump," said Shaw.
"Threading the ball through the tyre stack before Dylan was great, but taking a mark over the big Open Country M/Ts was my highlight; they were a lot more fun to climb on than a player."
Toyo Tires marketing manager Jose Angeles said the TVC linked the technology leadership and performance of Toyo Tires products with the athleticism and drive of the elite GIANTS players.
"Toyo Tires is driven to create products that offer the utmost in performance and safety in all conditions. The ad shows the determination GIANTS players have to perform above expectations, under high pressure," Mr Angeles said.
"Dylan and Heath are both incredible athletes. I was behind the scenes and I assure you the video didn't require much cutting - they struggled to miss!"
The GIANTS face off against Port Adelaide Power this Sunday at Manuka Oval.
