Honda Marine (uk) Enters Into Exclusive Boatbuilder Alliance Partnership With Highfield Marine

Honda Marine (UK) Enters into Exclusive Boatbuilder Alliance Partnership with Highfield MarineHonda Marine has entered into a strategic partnership with Highfield Marine, which will see a range of Highfield RIBs sold exclusively in the UK with Honda outboards.
The agreement marks the next phase in Honda’s boatbuilder alliance programme, which offers full boat packages in partnership with premium manufacturers, delivering the complete ‘turnkey’ solutions which many UK customers are increasingly looking for.

Initially, the agreement will cover Highfield’s ‘Classic’ and ‘Ocean Master’ RIBs which have evolved from over 25 years of development in some of the toughest conditions in the world and hold an enviable reputation as tough and reliable. The boats also have aluminium hulls which are strong, easy to repair, versatile and lightweight. Importantly, aluminium hulls come with strong environmental credentials; because they’re lighter, less power is required to propel them through the water, which in turn means less fuel is needed and thus, emissions are reduced. In addition, aluminium hulls are totally recyclable.

The Classic series range offers six boats ranging from 2.3 metres to 3.8 metres. These boats are perfect all-round tenders with a high-quality specification Valmex™ PVC tube fabric, welded seams, flush-mounted return valves, integrated transom supports, anchor well (up to CL310), bow locker (CL340 upwards), removable seat, Davit lifting eyes/towing points, tow bridle points, anti-slip deck, heavy duty rubbing strake, full length keel guard, foot pump, paddles and repair kit.

The Ocean Master range offers seven boats ranging from 3.5 metres to 5.9 metres. They are engineered to be the toughest, most capable and sea-worthy RIBs for their size currently available on the market; creating either a family-cruising RIB, a luxury tender or a robust support vehicle. Specifications of this range are the same as the Classic series with the addition of a choice of boat colourways, choice of internal layout, integrated under-deck fuel tank, bow step mooring cleat and bow locker with seat cushion.

Steve Morris, Head of Power Equipment for Honda (UK), comments: “Our boatbuilder alliance programme aims to offer the complete boating solutions that customers are increasingly looking for, and we work with the best partners in the market to deliver the very best product. Highfield is a perfect fit for us because, like Honda outboards, the boats are tough, reliable, high-quality and boast strong environmental credentials.”

All models are available now from selected Authorised Honda dealers which have the capability, capacity and expertise to sell and support the boats.

Steve Harrison of Highfield RIBs, comments: “We’re really proud to be in partnership with such a long-established, respected and innovative company like Honda Marine as it adds further assurance to customers looking to buy a RIB that Highfield boats offer a first-rate solution."

The boats will carry a five-year structure warranty while Honda’s industry-leading six-year warranty will be applied to engines.
