Isuzu D-Max Blade was a special edition model which proved to be a success last year, when they had to build twice as many in order to satisfy demand for the car.
The Blade special edition also helped Isuzu sell a record 5,500 units last year which doesn't sound like much, but it was actually a very good year for the Japanese manufacturer.
The MY2015 Isuzu D-Max Blade is exclusive to the UK market and will be available from £25,999 (CVOTR), plus a 5-year 125,000 mile warranty. You can order your D-Max Blade in Cosmic Black as a standard, but also with the option of having it on Pearlescent White.
Cosmetically the Blade has a 'Shadow' gray front grille and matching garnish, black door mirror caps, door handles and tailgate handles and 18" six-spoke alloy wheels, while inside you get Piano Black interior highlights, bespoke side-sill scuff plates, an 8-speaker audio system and a 6.1" Pioneer touchscreen sat-nav system - that comes with rear safety camera technology.
Engine-wise, the Blade uses a 2.5 liter twin-turbo diesel unit (the same as every other D-Max), good for 163 PS and 400 Nm of torque. You can either have it with a 6-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission. It's not the fastest pick-up in the world, but it will still tow 3.5 tonnes and return around 38.7 combined mpg according to Isuzu.
