Mitsubishi Dealership Takes Showroom To Shopping Centre

Mitsubishi Dealership Takes Showroom To Shopping CentreA MITSUBISHI dealership from Finchley took up residence at a premier shopping centre to show people just how good the brand is.
Humming Bird Mitsubishi, which is in Regents Park Road, had an eye-catching display at Brent Cross for a week, with an Outlander PHEV, Mirage and ASX drawing plenty of interest – and plenty of data capture as a result.

Dealer Principal Larry Wood said: ‘It went well. It was very busy, as Brent Cross gets a lot of footfall – thousands of people every day – so it was well worth attending. It was fantastic to be in there.

‘We had over 140 enquiries and have already sold three Outlander PHEVs and a used Outlander as a result. Since the PHEV was launched we’ve sold more than 30 of the vehicles, so what was very pleasing for me was that we had lots of interest in the Mirage and ASX as well.’

It’s little wonder that the display proved so popular. The game-changing Outlander PHEV – the world’s first plug-in hybrid SUV – is as kind to the environment as it is to people’s pockets, thanks to its low emissions of 44g of CO2 per kilometre, making it exempt from road tax as well as the London congestion charge. In addition, it has an ultra-low Benefit in Kind of just five per cent for company car drivers, giving them a virtual pay rise of thousands of pounds a year. Companies benefit too, with a 100 per cent write-down allowance during the first year of ownership and hugely reduced National Insurance contributions because of the five per cent Benefit in Kind.

Meanwhile, the Mirage has been built from the ground up to be as light and efficient as possible while still being practical and fun to drive. Equally at home in congested streets or narrow country lanes, no Mirage in the range emits more than 100g of CO2 per kilometre, meaning it’s much kinder to the environment than other cars and exempt from vehicle excise duty too.

The ASX crossover, with its high specification and superb safety record, combines rugged practicality with a sleek compact design, making it a perfect fit for life for real people who have real families to ferry around in the real world. The ASX is quiet on the road, with well-weighted steering and a forgiving nature that soaks up the lumps and bumps with ease, yet packing a real punch when you ask it.

So successful was the Brent Cross event that Humming Bird Mitsubishi is planning to be back at the shopping centre in September and February.
