Nissan Gt - R50 By Italdesign To Hit Laguna Seca

Nissan GT-R50 By Italdesign To Hit Laguna SecaNissan is bringing the GT-R50 by Italdesign to the annual Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion during the ongoing Monterey Car Week in California.
The automaker is the first Japanese featured marque in the 44-year history of the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. As such, the GT-R50 will be joined by a selection of other extremely desirable Nissans released throughout the brand’s long and illustrious history. The GT-R50’s outing at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca will be just the latest stop in its ongoing world tour which included appearances at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and a parade lap at the Spa 24 Hours in Belgium. After its runs at Laguna Seca, the special GT-R will return to Japan.Created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the GT-R in 2019 and Italdesign in 2018, the Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign remains a design study. However, Nissan says it will put the car into limited production if it receives enough demand from customers. Fewer than 50 units will ever be built, each priced at approximately $1.2 million. The GT-R50’s exterior is bespoke from all other GT-R models to come before it. However, work has also been done to ensure the car is a little more brisk than the much-more affordable alternatives.Power from the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 now sits at 710 hp and 575 lb-ft (780 Nm) of torque thanks to the fitment of larger turbochargers and other new internals. Nissan hasn’t released performance statistics for the model but it’s inevitably the most accelerative GT-R ever produced.Other parts distinguishing the GT-R50 from regular GT-R models are bespoke Bilstein adjustable dampers and enlarged Brembo brakes.
