The demise of the Cube and Murano CrossCabriolet put an end to quirky, niche cars in Nissan’s lineup, but that deficit isn’t going to last.
Andy Palmer, Nissan’s chief planning officer told Automotive News that the brand needs a new car that will turn heads. “To be clear, we will morph this space in our portfolio into something iconic,” Palmer said. “The space is held to make sure we have something iconic.”
He didn’t offer any hints as to what sort of vehicle that would be, though the brand has a few recently revealed concept cars to take some style from.
