As part of the company's social contribution activities, Toyota Motor Corp. will hold the 36th Annual Toyota Lobby Concert in the first floor lobby of their main office in Tokyo on December 5th.
The concert was started in 1995, as a way for the welfare center and neighborhood residents nearby TMC's main office to be able to casually enjoy high quality music performances, and is put on collaboratively with the assistance of volunteers in the area, mainly employees at the company.
This year’s concert will feature a special duet between Japan’s premier Belgian-system button accordionist Tetsuya Kuwayama and his wife, actress and singer Tomoko Fujita, as well as a performance by upcoming violinist, who has already become a premier lecturer at Toho Gakuen School of Music, Chika Edamami.
The theme of the concert is “Dream Sounds.” From the creation of dreams, to the work necessary to achieve them, all the way to their fruition, the artists will perform music that portrays the completeness of dreams.
Performances by special guest artists are also planned for the concert, which will be announced on the Tokyo Lobby Concert homepage on November 18th.
Along with the concert, specialty and local products of Iwate Prefecture will be sold in a benefit drive with the cooperation of the prefectural government at the venue.
At present, a total of 360 people from the local area and with relationships to the welfare center have been invited to this years concert.
