A medical moisturizer that stimulates the growth of cells deep within the skin to help the outer layer retain its moistness hit drug stores and pharmacies nationwide on Sept. 10.
Developed by Osaka-based Kobayashi Pharmaceutical Co., the lotion was developed for people with dry skin and is especially effective when applied to the face. Dubbed “Saiki,” the moisturizer contains chemicals that trigger the growth of cells. It contains no artificial fragrance or alcohol and is safe for children.
The suggested retail price for Saiki is 1,026 yen ($8.50) for a 30-gram bottle and 2,592 yen for a 100-gram bottle, tax included.
