2 People On 5th Charter Flight Rushed To Hospital

2 people on 5th charter flight rushed to hospital

Sources say two people have been rushed to hospital after arriving in Japan from China on the fifth flight chartered by the Japanese government.

The flight from Wuhan, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, landed at Tokyo's Haneda Airport on Monday morning. It was carrying 36 Japanese nationals and 29 Chinese, many of whom are spouses.

Japan's health ministry says medical workers checked each passenger during the flight for symptoms such as fever and coughing.

The sources say the two people taken to hospital had appeared to be unwell.

The other passengers were taken in buses to medical institutions.

Even if they do not have any symptoms, they will be tested for the virus and stay at facilities arranged by the government.

The government says this will be its last chartered fight for the time being.
