Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has condemned the terror attacks in Sri Lanka, calling them absolutely impermissible.
Abe said on Monday that Japan is determined to work with Sri Lanka and the international community in the fight against terrorism.
He says he feels both deep sorrow and extreme anger at the deaths of more than 200 people including a Japanese national.
He added he offers prayers for the repose of the dead and condolences to their loved ones.
He also expressed sympathy to all of the victims who were killed and injured in the attacks.
