Airline companies operating in Japan have canceled about 480 domestic flights scheduled for Sunday and Monday due to severe tropical storm Tapah.
The flights are mostly to and from the southwestern island of Kyushu, including airports in Fukuoka, Miyazaki, Nagasaki, Kagoshima, and Saga.
Japan Airlines scrubbed 126 flights, while All Nippon Airways canceled 151.
The number of canceled flights by other carriers include: Solaseed Air 44; Jetstar 40; Japan Air Commuter 39; Skymark Airlines 26; Star Flyer 21; Fuji Dream Airlines 20; Peach Aviation 6; Japan Transocean Air 5; Spring Airlines Japan 4.
