Japan Airlines officials are warning of delays as they say their passenger check-in system for domestic flights is malfunctioning at airports across the country.
JAL says it has been having the trouble since 6:50 a.m. on Wednesday in Japan.
Staff at Haneda Airport have had to manually handle boarding. Officials say the problem has already delayed some flights by 30 to 50 minutes.
The company says it is looking into the cause of the system failure, but it does not yet know when the problem will be fixed.
