The leader of Japan's junior coalition partner Komeito has welcomed the consecutive growth of the country's Gross Domestic Product.
Komeito Chief Representative Natsuo Yamaguchi told reporters on Monday that the latest GDP figures support a moderate recovery of the Japanese economy.
He said that the government will implement a range of measures to maintain the trend.
Yamaguchi also said that he expects better results coming in April and following months. He said that the consumption tax should be raised in October, as planned, to fund a free preschool education program.
