Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka has a new coach, following an abrupt split with her former coach Sascha Bajin.
Osaka tweeted a photo of the new member of her team, Jermaine Jenkins, thanking him for joining.
The 34-year-old Jenkins had been a hitting partner of former world number one player Venus Williams since July 2015.
In January, he was appointed by the United States Tennis Association as a national coach for women's tennis.
Jenkins is expected to help Osaka gear up for a tournament ranked just below the four Grand Slam events. The tournament starts on March 6 in the United States.
Osaka said she was no longer working with Bajin after winning the Australian Open last month for her second straight Grand Slam title.
At a tournament in Dubai this month, she lost her opening match -- her first since becoming the world number one with her Australian Open victory.
She said public reaction to her decision to split from her former coach affected her performance in Dubai.
