Japan's minister in charge of the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games says he will work harder to provide information about the event.
Shunichi Suzuki met International Paralympic Committee President Andrew Parsons in Tokyo on Thursday. Parsons is in Japan for a meeting to check preparations for the game.
Suzuki briefed him on efforts by the governments of Japan and Tokyo to ensure sufficient accommodations for people with disabilities.
The minister said para-sports are drawing more attention but that public interest in the Olympics is still higher.
Parsons said he hopes the Paralympics will lead to a change in society that enables people with disabilities to live more actively.
