Prosecutors File Quasi - Appeal Over Ghosn Bail

Prosecutors file quasi-appeal over Ghosn bail

Tokyo prosecutors have filed a quasi-appeal after the Tokyo District Court granted bail to former Nissan Motor chairman Carlos Ghosn on Tuesday.

Ghosn could be released on Tuesday for the first time in 107 days if the court dismisses the quasi-appeal and the former auto executive pays 8.9 million dollars in bail.

Ghosn was first arrested last November. He has been indicted for underreporting his executive compensation in violation of the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, and aggravated breach of trust for inappropriately shifting Nissan's funds.
