Suga: Japan has daily interest in N.Korea

Japan's top government spokesperson has said the government has a high level of interest in North Korea's movements on a daily basis.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Chief Cabinet Secretary Suga Yoshihide said the government is working to collect and analyze data, but he refrained from commenting on specific contents.

He highlighted the importance of North Korea completely and quickly implementing its agreement with the United States. He said that this included Pyongyang's commitment to the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Suga said Japan will continue to solidly back developments between the US and North Korea.
