Japan's top government spokesperson says officials are considering releasing a video of the recent collision between a Fisheries Agency patrol ship and a North Korean fishing boat.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga told reporters on Friday that the government is considering when and how to release the footage.
The collision between the patrol ship and the North Korean fishing boat occurred in the Sea of Japan off the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture on Monday. The North Korean boat sank after the collision.
Opposition parties have been calling on the government to release a video of the collision and the rescue operation for the crew of the North Korean boat.
