Tokyo Sees 102 New Coronavirus Cases

Sources at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government say 102 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed on Monday.

The number of daily cases in the capital has surpassed 100 for five straight days.

The total number of cases in Tokyo now stands at 6,867.

The metropolitan government is calling on residents to refrain from making nonessential trips to other prefectures.

Many of the cases involve people working in nightlife districts. Officials strongly urge visitors to these districts to choose establishments that take proper anti-infection measures.
