Tokyo's central loop railway line has resumed service after a portion of it was closed on Saturday due to construction of a new station.
Services were suspended from the first train running between Osaki and Ueno until around 4 p.m., and trains are running on the newly re-routed tracks.
The area affected accounts for around one-third on the Yamanote Line.
The new Takanawa Gateway station, located between Shinagawa and Tamachi stations, is scheduled to open next spring.
The Keihin-Tohoku Line will remain out of service between Shinagawa and Tamachi stations until Sunday morning.
