Uniqlo clothing chain ties up with Daiwa House's delivery businessThe operator of the Uniqlo clothing chain said Tuesday it has tied up with Daiwa House Industry Co. to provide same-day domestic delivery of its products purchased online utilizing the home builder's distribution business.

By setting up a joint venture, Fast Retailing Co. and Daiwa will build a warehouse dedicated to the leading Japanese clothing chain, the Osaka-based builder said in a separate news release.

The new warehouse to be built in Tokyo will start operation in 2016 and launch same-day delivery in the Tokyo metropolitan area. The two companies plan to set up new distribution bases in about 10 major cities nationwide to spread the service, they said.
