Yamanote Line Services Halted Over Report Of Substance Sprayed In Train


Yamanote Line services halted over report of substance sprayed in trainServices on Tokyo's Yamanote Line were temporarily halted on July 19 after an emergency call was made from JR Hamamatsucho Station in the capital's Minato Ward, reporting that a substance had been sprayed inside a train there.


Three people received emergency medical treatment, but all were conscious, sources including the Tokyo Fire Department said.

According to East Japan Railway Co. (JR East), an emergency stop button at the station was pressed, and the Yamanote Line's inner course was halted for around 15 minutes.

The Metropolitan Police Department's Atago Police Station is investigating the incident.
