Sakura Yokomine captured her fourth title of the season with a one-stroke victory over Yumiko Yoshida at the Itoen Ladies on Sunday.
Yokomine shot a 68 in the final round at Great Island Club in Chiba Prefecture, carding a 10-under 206 to move top of the Japan LPGA money rankings ahead of Rikako Morita with two tournaments remaining.
Morita was 10th, four shots off the pace.
"I wasn't very good off the tee, and it was a difficult game for me today," said Yokomine, who bagged her 22nd career championship. "I'm glad I didn't give up until the end.
"I wanted to at least win once over the last three events, and I'm happy I got it done here," she said.
