King’s Lynn karate kid, 10, aims bigA Howard Junior School student has been chosen to represent Great Britain at the World Fight Sport and Martial Arts Council (WFMC) World Championships in Croatia this October.

Ten- year-old Daniel McNeice, from King’s Reach, is a dedicated kickboxer who trains most nights and is just two steps away from becoming a black belt.

His dad, Alan, said: “He first started kickboxing four-and-a-half years ago and he trains very hard. He enters a lot of competitions and was over the moon to find out he had been chosen.”

Daniel has trained at Tang Soo Do in Hunstanton since moving to Lynn.

Alan said: “It’s good for a kid of that age to do something like this rather than sitting in front of the TV all day.
