Man Utd Kagawa Fails To Impress

Kagawa came on in the 62nd minute as a substitute and assumed the role of central attacking midfielder, the position he prefers most. However, the 25-year-old failed to make an impression in the home team’s attacks and seemed to drift out of the game, which United won 2-1.
In all of Manchester United’s six preseason games, Kagawa appeared as a substitute. His lack of tangible results is unlikely to satisfy manager Louis van Gaal.
The Japan international is entering his third Premier League season in a tough spot, and British newspapers have reported that Kagawa is a candidate to be transferred from the club. United’s season opener is scheduled for Saturday at home against Swansea.
