Sources say 18-year-old Japanese soccer player Takefusa Kubo has agreed to join Spain's Real Madrid.
Kubo became the second-youngest player to make a debut with Japan's national team earlier this month.
He was trained in the youth academy of Spain's FC Barcelona until the age of 13.
He signed a professional contract with FC Tokyo in November of 2017.
Kubo has high-level passing and dribbling skills. He is a regular starter this season, and helps his team remain at the top of the league.
The sources say Kubo's contract with FC Tokyo has expired, and he has agreed to sign a five-year deal with Real Madrid.
Kubo is now in Brazil to play in the Copa America, the South American championship.
