Young table tennis players in Argentina have had a chance to test their skills against star Japanese player Tomokazu Harimoto.
The 15-year-old athlete is taking part in the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires.
Earlier this year, Harimoto beat a player ranked No.1 in the world, as well as an Olympic Gold medalist. His spectacular showing has won him many fans, including young players in Argentina.
A local table tennis association organized an exchange event on Saturday. About 30 elementary and junior high school children played against Harimoto.
An 8-year-old girl said she was happy she could meet him.
A 13-year-old boy said playing table tennis with Harimoto was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. He said he wants to practice hard to be a player like the Japanese star.
Harimoto said he was glad to see many fans and hear that they like him. He said an event like this will help improve the level of table tennis in Argentina, and also boost his motivation in upcoming matches.
