2019 Toyota Supra Tries On A Slew Of Colors

The launch of the next-generation Toyota Supra has been one of the most discussed topics in the industry this year. With just over a month left before the end of 2017, it doesn’t appear as if we’ll even see the new sports car until next year.

Nonetheless, a number of enthusiasts have rendered the car in recent months, using a plethora of spy shots and the Toyota FT-1 Concept as inspiration. These latest renderings, created by members of the SupraMKV forums, show the new Supra in a range of colors. It looks impressive in every single one of them.

Infiniti's Variable Compression Engine Produces 268 HP, Debuts In The 2019 QX50

Infiniti is gearing up to introduce the 2019 QX50 at the Los Angeles Auto Show and the company recently invited a handful of journalists to try out the model's new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with variable compression technology.

Automotive News was one of the companies that attended the event and they are reporting the new engine produces 268 hp (200 kW) and 288 lb-ft (390 Nm) of torque. This will reportedly enable the QX50 to accelerate from 0-60 mph faster than any of its four-cylinder competitors.

2019 Toyota Supra Looks Great In Latest Rendering

The Toyota Supra is continuing its slow march to production and the SupraMKV Forums have created a new rendering of what the car could look like.

Loosely based on the FT-1 concept, the rendering more closely resembles the production model as forum member Supra93 shortened the car's wheelbase and "pushed" the hood back. The fenders have also been modified and the rear air intakes have been removed. Other notable changes include larger mirrors and the addition of a central air intake.

2019 Toyota Supra Realistic CGI Fills Us With Anticipation

Based on all the Toyota Supra prototypes spied in recent months, it seems evident that the completed sports car will take obvious design inspiration from the FT-1 Concept and could end up looking quite similar to this rendering.

Created by a member of the Supra MKV forums, the car is clearly similar to the FT-1 but dulls down the design to make it more appropriate for road use. Additionally, numerous modifications have been made to ensure it would pass various regulations around the world.

Nintendo's Wii Shop Channel Will Be Shutting Down In 2019

Nintendo's Wii Shop Channel Will Be Shutting Down In 2019

Nintendo is a bit of an odd company in which some of their ideas seem to be the product of forward thinking, but yet there have been some instances in which the company has been slow to adopt newer technology or features that its competitors have embraced, like the Wii Shop Channel which marked the first time that Nintendo embraced the digital game distribution method.

However given that the focus is currently on the Nintendo Switch, we guess all good things must come to an end as Nintendo has officially announced that the Wii Shop Channel will be shutting down in 2019, or to be more specific, it will be shutting down on the 31st of January, 2019. We suppose this still gives gamers a little over a year to adjust to things, but if you still plan to keep using the service, note that adding funds will only be allowed until the 27th of March, 2018.

Future Cars: 2019 Lexus ES Kicks GS Sibling To The Curb

There is change on the horizon for the Lexus range. Buyers are flocking to SUV’s and two of their mid-size luxury saloons are fighting against each other in the showroom. Unfortunately for RWD fans, the sportier GS is getting trounced in sales by the front wheel drive ES.

As a result, the GS is poised to meet the chopping block, with the ES taking over as the luxury automaker’s sole mid-size sedan. So what will the next-generation ES look like? Let’s investigate further.

Honda Urban Ev Confirmed For 2019 Launch In Europe

Honda Urban EV confirmed for 2019 launch in Europe

Honda revealed a small electric concept with a slight throwback vibe Tuesday at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Based on an all-new platform, the Urban EV will launch in Europe in 2019.

The tiny concept is even smaller — by 100 mm — than the diminutive Jazz supermini. You'll immediately notice the backlit Honda emblem, which presages a design cue that will show up on future Honda EVs. The grille area displays words, like the charge status, but it can also display messages for other drivers. That could be fun.

Canon To Launch New, Partially-automated Camera Plant In Japan In 2019

Canon to launch new, partially-automated camera plant in Japan in 2019

Canon has revealed that it is building a new semi-automated camera plant in Japan, and that it expects to open the plant in 2019. The factory will be located in the Miyazaki Prefecture on a 300,000 square meter land parcel, marking this the first time Canon has built a new camera production facility in Japan since 2010. The plant will focus on producing single-lens reflex cameras, according to Nikkei.

This business move is part of a growing effort on Canon's part to bring more of its production business back to its home nation, a move spurred in part by increased wages abroad. Though Canon had originally moved much of its production outside of Japan, the cost of domestic manufacturing has lowered thanks to factory automation technologies.

2019 Suzuki Jimny Leaks Looking Oh-so Familiar

2019 Suzuki Jimny Leaks Looking Oh-So Familiar

Not long after our spies snapped the 2019 Suzuki Jimny in the midst of testing, images of the redesigned SUV have emerged following a company presentation detailing its product roadmap.

As we long suspected (and hoped for), the new Jimny hasn't totally sacrificed its iconic design and still remains identifiable. What that means is that the SUV maintains its small proportions and its front end continues to be dominated by a slim, horizontal grille and a set of simple headlights, now round rather than the square shape of the original.

2019 Toyota Supra spied with production headlights

The long-awaited Toyota Supra has been spied once more, this time revealing the production vehicle’s headlamp setup.

Aside from the new LED headlights, this latest prototype is wearing the same amount of camouflage as the vehicle spotted doing cold weather testing in March.

First Look At 2019 Nissan Altima Reveals Maxima-inspired Design

First look at 2019 Nissan Altima reveals Maxima-inspired design

With new iterations of midsize sedan staples such as the Accord and Camry on the way to dealership lots, the segment will be tougher than ever before, so it's a good thing that Nissan is finally replacing its aging Altima. We know this because one of our spy photographers caught an Altima prototype running around, and it wasn't well-covered.

Because of the mild camouflage, we can tell that the new Altima pulls many cues from its bigger Maxima sibling. The deep front grille extends all the way through the front bumper and into a chrome V-shaped lower section. It looks a little like the treatment on the Vmotion 2.0 concept, but with a conventional open grille. Other similarities to the Maxima include the floating roof motif at the D-Pillar, highlighted by the swoopy sheet metal just behind the windows on the rear doors. Looking closely, you can also make out the contour of the tailllights, which stretch forward along the car's haunches much like the Maxima.
