2021 Lexus Ls 500 F Sport First Drive | What's New, Specs, Photos

2021 Lexus LS 500 F Sport First Drive | What's new, specs, photos

There was one glaring problem with the Lexus LS 500 prior to this year's refresh: the Remote Touch infotainment system. To put it simply, it was a nightmare to use and a potential deal breaker. As it does in other Lexus products, Remote Touch featured a large display controlled by a laptop-like touchpad that was difficult and distracting to use. Lexus has surely tired of hearing the complaints from reviewers and customers alike, and for 2021, there's a touchscreen. Hurrah!

That's clearly the biggest update for the 2021 Lexus LS 500, but the four-door flagship is treated to a number of other improvements for its mid-cycle freshening as well. Considering the totally new Mercedes-Benz S-Class is bearing down in the Lexus' rearview mirror, it's smart timing. Lexus allowed us to live with both the 2020 and 2021 LS 500s for a couple days to ensure we'd notice every last difference between them.

2021 Subaru Wrx And Wrx Sti Info And Pricing Revealed

2021 Subaru WRX and WRX STI info and pricing revealed

Details on the 2021 Subaru WRX and WRX STI are out and, to nobody's surprise, hardly anything changes. The STI's base price goes up by $250 to make it $38,170. Subaru has also filtered keyless entry with push-button start down to the WRX Premium. It was previously only standard on the Limited trim. You'll pay a bit more for the convenience, too, as Subaru upped the price of the Premium trim by $250 (now totaling $30,970) this year.

And that's it for changes to the 2021 models. At this point we have our sights set on a next-gen WRX. The Subaru Levorg revealed earlier this year was the best preview of what to expect when the car is finally revealed. Report after report have suggested new platforms and new engines are on the way. Spy shots of the next-gen car slathered in camouflage surfaced a couple months ago. It's coming, and it's likely going to arrive sometime in 2021 as a 2022 model year car.

2021 Mazda Mx-5 Miata Sees Minor Pricing, Equipment Changes

2021 Mazda MX-5 Miata sees minor pricing, equipment changes

Mazda has announced changes for the 2021 MX-5 Miata, and while the model year is mostly a quiet one for the enthusiast-favorite sports car, there is one striking new addition: a White Nappa leather option.

Sure to be the bane of Miata restorers years hence, the White Nappa leather is exclusive to the Grand Touring trim level, where it carries a $300 upcharge. Sadly, where Mazda giveth, it also taketh away, as last year's Red Nappa leather option has been dropped, and Tan Leather also falls by the wayside. That leaves black as your only other leather color choice.

2021 Nissan Armada Debuts With A Facelift And Tons Of New Tech

2021 Nissan Armada debuts with a facelift and tons of new tech

The 2021 Nissan Armada made its debut today, and the changes this year amount to a heavy mid-cycle refresh. Nissan's full-size SUV isn't especially old in model years having debuted in its current form for the 2017 model year, but that doesn't tell the whole story. This generation of Armada is essentially a Nissan-ized Infiniti QX80. At this point, the QX80 is two facelifts on from the vehicle it was when it was all-new in 2011 — at that point, it was still called the QX56. Underneath it all is the internationally-sold Nissan Patrol, which is still the basis of this refreshed 2021 Armada.

Make sense? OK, onward to what's new.

2021 Nissan Kicks Revealed: What's New, Design, Tech

2021 Nissan Kicks revealed: What's new, design, tech

It's only been a few short years since the Nissan Kicks was introduced, but Nissan has the tiny crossover's first update ready to rock. The 2021 Nissan Kicks gets revised styling in front and back, some thoughtful interior changes and a number of tech improvements.

You'll notice the new grille first, mostly because it's so much bigger than before. Due to its size, Nissan has changed the name to "Double V-Motion," as opposed to just "V-Motion." Groundbreaking stuff. The grille does serve its purpose of making the little Kicks look bigger and more SUV-like, though. It's complemented by redesigned LED headlights, LED foglights and a more aggressive bumper. Around back, Nissan gave it a full-width rear light with a new LED element. There's a new bumper design with some fake-looking strakes poking down from the rear finisher, too. And Nissan introduced three new colors: Electric Blue Metallic (what you're seeing in the photos, Scarlet Ember Tintcoat and Boulder Gray Pearl.

2021 Nissan Sentra Gets Top Safety Pick Award From Iihs

2021 Nissan Sentra gets Top Safety Pick award from IIHS

Redesigned headlights earned the 2021 Nissan Sentra a coveted Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Some 2020 models built after the last round of updates get the distinction, too.

Nissan's eighth-generation Sentra made its debut for the 2020 model year with a new platform, a much more muscular design inspired by the bigger Maxima, and better technology inside. We drove it and called it an appealing small car, but the IIHS gave its snazzy headlights an inferior rating. Nissan took the criticism to heart.

Toyota Electric Suv Coming To Europe In 2021

Toyota electric SUV coming to Europe in 2021

Toyota is finally ready to dive headfirst into the rapidly expanding electric vehicle segment. The giant Japanese automaker will kick off its EV charge first in Europe with a new electric sport utility vehicle that will ride on a platform the company calls e-TNGA (we think that's short for electric-Toyota New Global Architecture).

This SUV will be the first of six planned electric vehicles coming soon from Toyota. Best we can tell, this is the same vehicle that the automaker teased back in the summer of 2019 when it announced its partnership with Subaru. At the time, the company said the EV would be about the size of a RAV4 or Forester, which matches the information released with this latest announcement. The e-TNGA platform can support front-, rear- or all-wheel drive and can be stretched or shrunk with modular battery modules to support various vehicle designs and requirements.

2021 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid Specifications And Pricing Released

2021 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid specifications and pricing released

Subaru gave the Crosstrek a much-needed bigger engine for the 2021 model year, but it's not forgetting about the Hybrid model. It made a handful of visual tweaks to the crossover, and it increased its base price by $200.

2021's visual changes are light enough that Subaru managed to avoid shooting a new set of press shots by Photoshopping them onto an image of the 2020 model. The modifications consist of a new-look grille with rectangles instead of hexagons and extra blue trim, plus smaller front fog lights. We've already seen the grille and the lights on the redesigned variant of the non-electrified 2021 Crosstrek, though the blue trim is model-specific.
