Nintendo Switch Online Subscription Available From Best Buy & GameStop

Nintendo’s Switch online service has been confirmed to launch in the second half of September. For those who are intending on signing up for it, you might be interested to learn that both Best Buy and GameStop are now selling the subscriptions on their respective websites (Best Buy/GameStop).

The subscriptions are priced the same as what Nintendo is offering so it doesn’t make a difference who you buy it from, unless you have a preference for a particular retailer. This means that if you are interested in the 3 month membership, it will be priced at $7.99, while the 12 month membership will retail for $19.99.

Limited Edition Spider-man Ps4 Pro Available For Pre-order On Amazon

Limited Edition Spider-Man PS4 Pro Available For Pre-Order On Amazon

With the Sony PS4 Pro, the company essentially introduced a more souped up version of the PS4 that would allow it to play games at higher resolutions and smoother frame rates. However we expect that not everyone has hopped on board the PS4 Pro bandwagon yet, but if you are looking for an excuse, just last month Sony launched a limited edition Spider-Man PS4 Pro that looks stunning.

In fact if you were tempted by it, you might be interested to learn that Amazon now has the bundle up on its website where you can pre-order it. The bundle is priced at $400 which makes it slightly more expensive than a standalone PS4 Pro, but you get a copy of the game along with a rather striking Spider-Man design, which we have to say is one of the more exciting designs we’ve seen for the PS4 Pro in recent times.

The problem with non-Pixel smartphones is that they are usually slow when it comes to receiving Android updates, especially major ones. However in the case of the Essential Phone, it seems that the folks at Essential wasted no time because shortly after Google announced the release of Android 9.0 Pie, Essential made the update available for their flagship handset.

According to Essential, “We’re proud to announce that Android 9 Pie is now available on Essential Phone! Your experience with Essential Phone is important to us. And that’s why our team worked so hard to make sure you got the latest version of Android on launch day.” This release is impressive because this is pretty much almost the same time the update was released for Pixel devices.

Alcatel 1x Android Go Handset Available In The U.s. Next Week

Alcatel 1X Android Go Handset Available In The U.S. Next Week

A handful of Google’s OEM partners have committed to making Android Go-powered devices. ZTE launched its Android Go device back in March and while it could have been the first such smartphone to be sold in the United States, the recent ban placed by the U.S. Department of Commerce on the company has effectively crippled the company and forced it to cease business operations. This means that Alcatel can now have the honor of selling the first Android Go smartphone in the U.S. next week.

The device, Alcatel 1X, is going to be available for purchase in the United States next week for $100. This is also the first device that Alcatel has made which is powered by Android Go, a fresh iteration of Android that Google has developed for low-end devices.
