Being green in Northeast Mississippi got a lot easier today as dozens of community members and citizens joined Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Mississippi, Inc. (Toyota), TVA and New Albany Light, Gas & Water (NALGW) this morning at a ceremony to celebrate Earth Day 2013 by “powering on” Toyota’s new 50 kilowatt solar array.
For three days from November 9 to 11, 2012, Honda held a press conference, named “Honda Meeting 2012”, in Japan to announce new automobile technologies. At the conference, Honda unveiled a series of new technologies that will power the next generation of Honda automobiles, including three new hybrid systems for small, medium, and large-size vehicles and a new clean diesel engine. Prototypes equipped with the new technologies were brought to the conference for a test-driving event on a test course at the Automobile R&D Center in Tochigi, the conference venue.

Honda Motor and the Japan Metals & Chemicals today jointly announced the establishment of the world's first process to extract rare earth metals from various used parts in Honda products. This is an actual mass-production process at a recycling plant, not an experimental process. Honda will pursue the recycling of precious resources by utilising the newly established process for the recycling of rare earth metals.
