Hamasaki Ayumi announce new album & tour

Hamasaki Ayumi will release her new album "TROUBLE" on August 15. In addition, she's announced that she will hold a nationwide tour from October to February of next year. 

The songstress made the album and tour announcement on the final night of her tour 'ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2018 ~POWER of MUSIC 20th Anniversary~' on July 22 at Osaka-jo Hall. Besides her hit songs "evolution" and "SURREAL," Hamasaki performed "ever free" for the first time at a concert as well as brand new songs.

Hamasaki Ayumi will embark on an arena tour called "ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2018 ~POWER of MUSIC 20th Anniversary~" in April. 

This tour will be held to commemorate the singer's 20th anniversary since her debut. It will start on April 7 and 8 at Saitama Super Arena with the finale on July 21 and 22 at Osaka-jo Hall. Ticket pre-orders will be available for members of her official fan club.

The album will consist of 5 songs most of which will be uplifting numbers. Among the songs is "Step by step", which is being used as the theme song for NHK Drama 10's 'Bijo to Danshi' starring actress Nakama Yukie.

A few days ago, Hamasaki announced her engagement to a 25-year-old UCLA graduate student. On this day, she appeared hand-in-hand with her fiance in front of the press. Reporters gave their blessings to the couple to which Hamasaki answered "Thank you." She hid her engagement ring on her left ring finger with her sleeve.

For this tour, fans were asked to vote for their favorites songs out of a total of 241 she's released since her 1998 debut to her latest album, "LOVE again". On this day, she sang 19 out of the top 50 as well as a new song called "Tell All", which she wrote to commemorate her 15th anniversary.
