Fujitsu today announced the addition of a new white color model to its lineup of Raku-Raku Basic 3 mobile phones. The new color will be available in Japan from NTT DOCOMO, Inc starting February 17, 2012.

Toshiba Elevator and Building Systems Corp (TELC) will install an elevator system using Toshiba Corp's storage battery as an emergency power source in condos to be sold by Daikyo Inc, a real-estate developer, in Japan.
The storage battery to be installed in the condos is the "SCiB," Toshiba's lithium-ion (Li-ion) rechargeable battery that uses lithium titanate as a negative electrode material. The SCiB was employed for the "i-MiEV" and "Fit EV" electric vehicles, etc.
