Mitsubishi Plastics Develops Front Sheet for Flexible PV BatteriesMitsubishi Plastics Inc developed a front sheet with an excellent water vapor barrier property for flexible photovoltaic (PV) batteries.

The sheet has already been employed for the "Power Flex," a flexible CIGS PV battery developed by Global Solar Energy Inc. And Mitsubishi Plastics will begin to supply the sheet in earnest in 2012.

The operating voltages of the motor and pump are both 3V (direct current). And they can be powered by dry-cell batteries. Seiko Clock plans to start sample shipment in February 2012, expecting a sales volume of 100,000 units for the first year.
