Honda Civic takes double podium at Hungaroring WTCC eventTiago Monteiro stood proudly on the podium not once but twice having raced his Castrol liveried Honda Civic WTCC into third place in race 1 and then going one place better with the closest possible second position in race 2 at the FIA World Touring Car Championship event at the Hungaroring. The Honda Civics of Gabriele Tarquini earned 4th and 7th places whilst Mehdi Bennani finished a strong 5th in race 1 with Hungarian star Norbert Michelisz rewarding his army of fans with a brilliant start and race to take 6th position in race 1 and 9th place in race 2.

The most noise of drums, trumpets and klaxons was for national hero Norbert Michelisz who had finished a popular second in the feature race earlier but the Honda fans also acknowledged the Castrol Honda drivers, Gabriele Tarquini and Tiago Monteiro.

After a tense qualifying session, the Zengo Motorsport Honda Civic driven by Hungary’s motor racing superstar, Norbert Michelisz, set second fastest time on his very last lap to the noisy delight of his hundreds of fans in the grandstand. Gabriele Tarquini also made a last minute run on a fresh set of tyres to take third fastest whilst Tiago Monteiro took fourth fastest in the second Castrol Honda. This means that Honda Civics will start Race 1 from the front and second rows, pole position taken by Yvan Muller.
