Ring is the company that some of you might be familiar with as the company that specializes in home security equipment, such as its video doorbell. Now the company has announced the launch of a new app called Neighbors that basically leverages its technology and creates what might be described as a hi-tech version of a neighborhood watch program.
However the good news is that if you wanted to participate in Neighbors, you won't need to own any Ring hardware. Instead what the app does is that it leverages the social networking aspect of the Ring app where users will be able to leave photos and text responses on a map of their neighborhood. For example they will be able to leave notes to log any suspicious behavior they might have spotted which in turn will also alert other residents to it.
