For those who might have felt a bit "cheated", not to worry as it seems that Capcom could still be planning a Switch version of Monster Hunter, according to a tweet by @koudaiseidaos (via Siliconera)

Dev That Ported Skyrim To Switch Offers To Do The Same For Monster Hunter World

We're sure many gamers were disappointed when Capcom said that they would not be bringing Monster Hunter World onto the Nintendo Switch. The company claimed that doing so would be difficult, and while they did not dive into specifics, it seems that game studio Iron Galaxy might have an idea of what they're talking about.

So much so that Adam Boyes, the CEO of Iron Galaxy, tweeted at Capcom and offered to help them port the game over to the Switch. For those unfamiliar, Iron Galaxy has some experience porting games onto the Switch. They are the company who helped to bring Bethesda's Skyrim onto the Switch, so like we said, they do have some experience in that area.

The other day Capcom announced that Monster Hunter-themed costumes would be coming to Street Fighter as part of the celebration of the launch of Monster Hunter: World. Now it looks like the opposite is happening, where it looks like Street Fighter characters will be coming to Monster Hunter: World.

In an announcement by Capcom, it looks like two of Street Fighter's more popular/recognizable characters Ryu and Sakura will be making their way into Monster Hunter: World. However we should note that these are basically armor sets that when fully equipped will make characters look like either Ryu or Sakura, and can be worn by either male or female hunters with appropriate voice acting to match Ryu or Sakura.

Instead it seems that Capcom is making it a challenge to get them, which we guess can also double up as bragging rights. According to Capcom, "Every month, there will be at least one unique costume like a Crossover Costume up for grabs, which can only be obtained by playing Extra Battle Mode with Fight Money."

While longtime fans of the series will likely be invested from the get-go, expanding the world beyond handheld platforms opens its doors to a world of new possibilities… possibilities that I got to experience as a first-time hunter at Capcom's offices.
