Perfume's appearance in the 'Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival,' to be held in April in Indio, California, has been determined.
This year's 'Coachella' will be held from April 12th to the 14th, then from the 19th to the 21st. Perfume is scheduled to perform on the 14th and 21st. South Korean artists BLACKPINK and HYUKOH will be making appearances as well.
Perfume's song "Tiny Baby" has been picked up as the image song for the Japanese-dubbed version of Illumination Entertainment's latest film 'The Grinch.'
Toho Towa, the movie's distributing company, explained the reason for selecting one of Perfume's song for the film, "We were asked to suggest an artist who represents Japan to sing the image song, so we suggested Perfume, who is active worldwide and has a large fanbase in Europe and America."
Perfume will hold a charity auction to support funding for aid for the heavy rainfall that took place in July. They will placing some of their concert outfits for sale on Yahoo! Auction.
This announcement was made on August 17 during a program on YouTube, Nico Nico Namahousou, and Twitter to commemorate the release of their latest album "Future Pop." In addition to the auction, they will be donating a portion of proceeds of "Future Pop" and tour goods from their arena tour 'Perfume 7th Tour 2018: FUTURE POP.'
Perfume is getting ready to release their new album "Future Pop" on August 15. In commemoration, a collaboration cafe called 'Perfume Future Pop Cafe' will open in Tokyo, Osaka, and Aichi for a limited time from August 11.
The cafe locations are SUZU CAFE ‐jingumae‐ in Harajuku (Tokyo), Amelie cafe Nagoya Parco Store in Nagoya (Aichi), and W CAFE in Shinsaibashi (Osaka). In addition to decorations derived from the album tracks, there will a collaboration menu inspired by the album. The menu will include dishes that utilize ingredients produced in Perfume's hometown of Hiroshima as well as dishes that look like the album's jacket covers. Those who order from the collaboration menu will receive an original luncheon mat or coaster.
Perfume have uploaded the short PV for their song "Let Me Know" onto YouTube.
You can find "Let Me Know" in the group's upcoming album "Future Pop" out on August 15. Directed by Seki Kazuaki, the PV compares the three members' activities to a journey. The full version will be included in the album's Blu-ray or DVD.
Perfume will release a new album (currently untitled) in August. In addition, they will hold a nationwide arena tour starting on September 21.
The girls made this announcement on May 24 during the last stop of their tour at Shimizu Bunka Kaikan in Shizuoka. They commented, "In addition to our singles 'TOKYO GIRL,' 'If you wanna,' and 'Mugen Mirai,' it will contain a lot of new songs. We are already done recording, and we love all of the songs. The last song that we recorded, Nakata-san thought about it for a long time, put a lot of effort into it, and rewrote it many times. You can tell that Nakata-san was involved with it. He is definitely someone who will create a new era."
Perfume have unveiled the short PV for their new song "Mugen Mirai."
"Mugen Mirai" is the title track to Perfume's new single that's slated for release on March 14. It's the main theme song for the movie 'Chihayafuru' to open in theaters on March 17. The PV was shot in Guam to show the "future of infinite possibilities." It's the first time the girls went overseas to shoot a video.
MUSIC STATION will air a two-hour episode on February 23, and its artist line up has been unveiled.
Artists participating in the special broadcast include Arashi, E-girls, SAMURIZE from EXILE TRIBE, Sexy Zone, Perfume, HIKAKIN & SEIKIN, Hoshino Gen, Matsu Takako & Sheena Ringo, Miura Daichi, and Wagakki Band.
Perfume's fan club tour will be held in February and May of next year.
This tour will be held to commemorate ten years since the launch of their official fan club "P.T.A." as well as the five years since "WORLD P.T.A." which is a fan club for their overseas fans. In February, the ladies will hold two shows in Chiba Prefecture, then in May, they are scheduled to perform nine shows in different locations across Japan. Tickets will only be available for members of their fan club. Those who are not members yet have the opportunity to sign up before November 18 for the February shows and before February 15 for the May shows.
