Japan's westernmost point has moved further west by about 110 meters, after it was decided to include an ocean rock on official maps.
The Geospatial Information Authority of Japan added the rock to its national base map at a scale of 1 to 25,000. It lies in waters off Yonaguni Island in Okinawa Prefecture. The authority decides the extreme points of the country based on the map.
Some experts say an agreement between the Japanese and Russian leaders to speed up peace treaty negotiations could mark an important moment in history.
It comes after Shinzo Abe said he and Vladimir Putin agreed to forge ahead with talks based on a decades-old declaration.
Kyoto Sangyo University professor Kazuhiko Togo said, "I think this is the historical turning point of the negotiation. For the first time two governments have agreed on the fundamental structure of possible agreement. If we do not start now, we will run the risk of being overtaken by the time and no conclusion will be reached of any kind. And that would be detrimental."
Sony reported its fiscal first quarter results for FY2019 earlier today (3 months to 30 June 2018), and unfortunately for us Xperia fans, prospects aren't looking great for its mobile division. Sony Mobile only shipped 2.0 million phones during the quarter, versus 3.4 million in the same period last year.
It seems that the Nintendo Switch is outdoing the Wii U in all kinds of ways. Recently Nintendo confirmed that the Switch had managed to outsell the Wii U's lifetime sales in less than a space of a year, and now it looks like less than a year into its release, the Switch already has three times as many games as the Wii U did.
This is according to a report from Kotaku UK in which they are basing their data from over 18,000 games and 250,000 reviews that were listed on Metacritic. "For as many games that had listed release dates (the overwhelming majority), we then calculated how many titles were available for the system on a given number of days from launch."
Canon has announced its PowerShot SX730 HS, the follow-up to the SX720. The SX730 has a 20.3MP BSI CMOS sensor, settled 24-960mm proportionate focal point, a 3" (non-touch) LCD that flips upward 180 degrees, too as Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth.
The SX730 HS comes in silver and dark and will dispatch in June for $399.
Canon has presented a reduced 35mm F2.8 IS STM large scale focal point for yield sensor DSLRs. Comparable to the EF-M 28mm F3.5 Macro focal point presented a year back, the 35mm F2.8 has an implicit LED ring light.
The focal point, which is identical to 56mm when mounted on product body, has a base concentration separation of only 3 cm (1.2 in.). It uses Canon's 'Hybrid' IS framework, with up to four stops of shake diminishment. Ordinance says that the lead-screw-sort STM engine takes into account calm AF operation, which is perfect for video catch. The focal point has seven adjusted gap cutting edges and in addition a glass-shaped aspherical element.
Fujifilm has reported the Instax Mini 9, another moment camera that has propelled in five hues: Lime Green, Flamingo Pink, Smoky White, Ice Blue, and Cobalt Blue. The Instax Mini 9 expands upon the company's Instax Mini 8, carrying with it a selfie reflect and in addition another nearby focal point connection empowering picture takers to snap photographs as close as 35cm/14in.
Fujifilm says the 'popular' highlights from the past model are moved over into the Instax Mini 9, including auto introduction. The camera picks the ideal brightness setting for any given depiction, highlighting the picked setting by enlightening one of four lights relating the accompanying settings: Indoors, Cloudy, Sunny (cloudy), and Sunny (bright). The client then physically changes the dial to that setting.
