Nokia 9, Nokia 8 Pro Reportedly Planned For 2018

Nokia 9, Nokia 8 Pro Reportedly Planned For 2018

Prior to MWC 2018, there were rumors that HMD Global would have something to announce which many speculated could be the Nokia 9, but that did not happen. Instead HMD announced the Nokia 8 Sirocco, but what does that mean for the Nokia 9? Was it only a rumor? Turns out that there is a chance it could still be launched.

According to a report from NPU, it seems that the Nokia 9 is still in the cards, and not only that, it would seem that the Nokia 8 Pro could also be announced. In terms of specs and features, the Nokia 8 Pro is rumored to be a high-end phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and could be launched in August 2018.

Camera Pro Available Once Again For Nokia Smartphones

Camera Pro Available Once Again For Nokia Smartphones

If you ever played with a Nokia Lumia device back in the day then you will be well aware that they had impressive cameras aided by Carl Zeiss optics. Not only that, the handsets came with one of the best camera apps for Android smartphones, known as Nokia Pro Camera, Lumia Camera, and as Nokia Camera. The app changed names many times but it offered features like manual focus and the ability to adjust the shutter speed as far back as 2013. Nokia is no longer the same company anymore but fans of its devices will surely appreciate the return of Camera Pro in a new way.

Many Android smartphones now offer full-fledged pro camera modes which enable users to tweak advanced settings in order to take the perfect shot. However, the much-loved Camera Pro app was missing when HMD Global rolling out the first batch of Nokia-branded devices last year.

Nokia 8 Pro With Snapdragon 845 Reportedly Being Developed

Nokia 8 Pro With Snapdragon 845 Reportedly Being Developed

Nokia is expected to unveil a new handset, the Nokia 7+, at the Mobile World Congress 2018 next week. However, if a new report is to be believed, it may not be the only new handset that the company has been working on recently. The report suggests that there’s a “Nokia 8 Pro” in the pipeline that’s powered by the Snapdragon 845 chip, Qualcomm’s high-end processor for 2018.

Nokia 8 Pro is reportedly going to be one of the first flagships that Nokia releases this year and it’s said to be launched around August-September 2018. This suggests that there’s no chance we’ll get to see this at MWC 2018 next week if it does exist.

Toyota 2019 Trd Pro Trucks Amp Up Performance Features For Chicago Auto Show

Toyota 2019 TRD Pro trucks amp up performance features for Chicago Auto Show

Toyota Racing Development is unveiling its next generation family of TRD Pro off-road trucks for 2019 at the Chicago Auto Show, bringing performance features like high-tech suspension components to the entire lineup, a new 4Runner roof rack and an air intake snorkel to the Tacoma. The entire TRD Pro family — the Toyota Tundra, 4Runner and Tacoma — gets aluminum-bodied 2.5-inch TRD Fox Internal Bypass shocks. They're tuned for the specific characteristics of each vehicle by TRD engineers and offer improved dampening for on- and off-road driving situations.

PS4 Pro Update Will Make Games Look Better On Older TVs

Sony's PS4 Pro was clearly designed for the gamer with a 4K TV in mind, but what about those who don't own a 4K TV yet? Obviously this means that they won't be able to fully take advantage of what the PS4 Pro has to offer, although the good news is that it looks like Sony is doing something to address that.

In an announcement on the PlayStation Blog, Sony has revealed that there will be an incoming update for the console that will introduce "supersampling mode". This means that games designed for 4K will downscale to match your TV's resolution, but at the same time offering an image clarity boost.

2019 Toyota Tacoma Trd Pro Gets A Snorkel

2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro gets a snorkel

The last teaser Toyota released of its updated TRD Pro line showed all three trucks, but they were way off in the distance so we couldn't see much. The teaser shown above rectifies the distance issue by zooming in on the 2019 Toyota Tacoma. Much of it is obscured by dust, but we can see at least one particularly unique addition: an intake snorkel.

For those who might not know, an intake snorkel can provide a couple of possible benefits for an off-road vehicle. They can help prevent the intake from pulling in water when driving through streams and rivers. They can also, as American Expedition Vehicles advertises with some of its snorkels, help reduce the amount of dust pulled into the intake by getting air from higher up. But regardless of the exact purpose of Toyota's snorkel, the point is that it's a useful addition for those who do a lot of off-road driving. It's also yet to be seen whether this snorkel will be standard equipment or an optional accessory.

You know the drill: A vehicle manufacturer wants to build interest in an upcoming reveal of a new product. So there's a dance of the seven veils involving a series of photos and videos and a controlled release of intriguing facts. Nobody stretched out this process better than last year's tantalizingly slow unwrapping of the Dodge Demon. The photos might show a design detail, or a dimly/dramatically lit photo of the vehicle in profile, such as this next-gen Hyundai Santa Fe crossover.

But Toyota just took a new approach by backing up — way, way up — from the vehicle, providing a teaser that's inscrutable but also quite pretty. Above, you can see what appear to be a 4Runner, a Tacoma and a Tundra. But why are they so blurry, you ask? Well, because we've zoomed in on them for you. Here's the photo as it originally came from Toyota:

Sony Now Selling Glacier White Ps4 Pro Without Bundle

Sony Now Selling Glacier White PS4 Pro Without BundleSony unveiled a Destiny 2 bundle in July last year in which the title was bundled with a Glacier White PlayStation 4 Pro. The company didn’t say at that time if it would ever sell the Glacier White PS4 Pro as a standalone product. The bundle was released in September 2017 when the game came out and since then it has not been possible to buy the console in that color without having to purchase the entire bundle. That changes today as Sony is finally going to sell the Glacier White PlayStation 4 Pro as a standalone product.

The Destiny 2 bundle was the first opportunity that customers had to purchase the console in a color other than the original Jet Black. However, not everyone wanted the title or its expansion pass and hence they were unable to justify its purchase.
