The foreign ministers of Japan and Russia have failed to narrow their differences over four Russian-held islands claimed by Japan. But they agreed to continue negotiations.
Taro Kono and Sergey Lavrov met for about 90 minutes on Saturday in Munich, Germany, on the sidelines of a security conference. The ministers are in charge of negotiations on concluding a peace treaty that would include a solution to the islands issue.
Japan is considering whether to remain in the International Whaling Commission because of little prospect of being able to resume commercial whaling. The fisheries ministry wants to compile a rough plan on the issue by the end of the year.
The IWC adopted a moratorium on commercial whaling in 1982. In line with this resolution, Japan suspended commercial whaling in 1988, and now catches whales purely for studies on whale resources.
Yamaha Motor Europe is pleased to confirm the rider lineup for the YART Yamaha Official EWC Team ahead of the opening round of the 2017/2018 FIM Endurance World Championship at the Bol D'or on the 16th-17th September. The YART team ended the season in third overall after battling at the front during the majority of races and finishing as the leading full-time team at the Suzuka 8 Hours. As they prepare for the first race of the new season the team will once again comprise of Broc Parkes, Kohta Nozane and Marvin Fritz.
Bungie had announced Destiny 2 well before the E3 2017 gaming convention but several additional details about the title were confirmed during Sony’s press conference. Bungie confirmed that it was moving up the console release of Destiny 2 by two days. It also detailed the exclusive PS4 content for Destiny 2 and pointed out how long PS4 owners will be able to claim this content for themselves only.
Lake of Shadows is a strike which will be exclusive to PS4 owners. The City Apex ship, Weapon Borealis exotic weapon and PVP map Retribution will also be exclusive to Destiny 2 players on PlayStation 4.
