Miyamoto Hiroji's (Elephant Kashimashi) song "Fuyu no Hana" has been picked up as the theme song for Fuji TV's drama 'Gosaigyo' to premiere on January 22.
'Gosaigyo' tells the story of Takeuchi Sayoko, a woman who targets elderly men and marries them to receive their inheritances. Kimura Yoshino plays the protagonist, and is supported by Takahashi Katsunori, Kimura Tae, Hamada Mari, and Izumiya Shigeru.
Yamamoto Sayaka, who graduated from NMB48 in November, has officially started her solo activities. She will be holding a nationwide tour titled 'I'm ready' from February to June.
This is actually Yamamoto's third solo tour (2016, 2017). The upcoming tour will kick off on February 23 in Saitama, and will wrap up on June 2 in Okinawa for a total of 27 shows.
Kalafina member Wakana will be making her solo debut from Victor Entertainment with her first single "Toki wo Koeru Yoru ni" on February 6.
"Toki wo Koeru Yori ni" is a nostalgic ballad composed by Shusui and Anders Dannvik. As the coupling track, the single will include a live version of "Tsubasa" which was composed and arranged by Takebe Satoshi, who directed Wakana's first solo tour this fall. Both songs were written by Wakana herself.
Watanabe Miyuki will release her first solo album "17％" on April 3 from Warner Music Japan's CENTRO's new label etichetta.
The album will consist of 12 tracks including "WINTER LOVE ~Watashi no Yeah Yeah~" and "Yuugure Sentimental," written and composed by Tsunku♂, and "Ringo Uruwashi Minori no Kisetsu," composed by Mizuno Yoshiki (Ikimonogakari). Watanabe commented, "I am very happy to present my first album to everyone. It's all thanks to everyone who always cheer me on. Thank you very much. This year, I learned a lot by studying abroad for language and dance. I hope you will be able to see that I've matured a bit."
Tanaka Koki (ex. INKT, KAT-TUN) will release his first solo album "Easter" on January 23.
The album will feature 12 tracks all written by Tanaka himself. He announced, "This year marks one year since I resumed my activities, and a lot of things have happened, and this is the biggest announcement I have yet." He continued, "This is my important first album I'm releasing as Tanaka Koki. With the support of many friends, it's finally complete."
Inagaki Goro's new song "SUZUNARI" will be released via Amazon Music, iTunes Store, and Recochoku on December 21.
"SUZUNARI" is the theme song to Amazon Prime Video drama 'Tokyo BTH ~TOKYO BLOOD TYPE HOUSE~', which begins streaming on December 7. Written and composed by Kawatani Enon (Gesu no Kiwami Otome., indigo la End), this is Inagaki's first solo song in 14 years. Inagaki commented, "Because this song was created in my image, I was able to naturally sing it as if they were my own words." Meanwhile, Kawatani stated, "It is an honor to provide the theme song for this original drama. I also feel honored that Inagaki-san, who plays the lead role, will sing this song solo. I'm certain that with music, there will definitely be a connection somewhere."
Nogizaka46 have revealed the PVs for "Tsuzuku" and "Caravan wa Nemuranai," which are both coupling tracks to the group's upcoming single "Kaerimichi wa Toomawari Shitakunaru."
"Tsuzuku" is Nishino Nanase's solo song. The PV was shot in early October at Arakawa Yuen and Toshimaen. It shows a story of a woman 10 years in the future at an amusement park with her child where she sees a poster that brings back memories of her past. Nishino, who held a child for the first time while shooting this PV, expressed how she felt the importance of a child and the difficulty of being a mother. It was directed by Yuasa Hiroaki, who has been in charge of Nishino's solo PVs in the past.
GLAY's TAKURO (G) will hold a solo tour titled 'GLAY TAKURO Solo Project 3rd Tour: Journey without a map 2019' next March.
For his third solo tour, TAKURO will welcome GLAY's TOSHI (Dr) and tatsuya (Piano) as well as Ishii Yukako (B) and Yonezawa Miku (Sax) as the support members. They are scheduled to perform nine shows at eight different locations. TAKURO is currently working on his second solo album, and fans can expect to hear some new songs at this tour.
Yoshioka Kiyoe of Ikimonogakari has revealed the jacket cover for her first solo album "Uta Iro" to drop on October 24.
For "Uta Iro," Yoshioka covers songs that she wanted to sing as a soloist. It will include covers of Yoshida Minako's "Yume de Aetara," Nakajima Miyuki's "Ito," Yonezu Kenshi's "Eine Kleine," Yuzu's "Shonen," Spitz's "Tsumetai Hoho," and more. The jacket cover features colorful polka dots on Yoshioka's portrait.
Keyakizaka46 member Imaizumi Yui will release a solo photo book (currently untitled) on October 3.
Imaizumi recently announced that she will be graduating from the group. Her first photo book was shot in the suburbs of Napoli, Italy. She commented, "This will be my last work as Keyakizaka46 and my first work as Imaizumi Yui."
cali≠gari bassist Murai Kenjiro will release an instrumental solo album titled "UNDERMINED" on November 7.
There will be various artists participating in the album including his bandmates Ishii Shoji (Vo) and Sakurai Ao (G) as well as COALTAR OF THE DEEPER's NARASAKI (G), KANNO (Dr), KOJI (G), Plastic Tree's Nakayama Akira (G), NoGoD's Kyrie (G), Shinno (G), K (Dr), ELLEGUNS's PANTHER (G) and JOE (Dr).
SKE48 will hold an outdoors live called 'SKE48 LIVE in LAGUNA' on October 14 at LAGUNASIA located inside of LAGUNA TEN BOSCH in Aichi.
The upcoming show will be a solo concert for the group. Fans can look forward to what kind of performance they will present at the outdoors venue. Advance ticket sales will start on August 9 at 12:00 noon via E-Plus.
