From what we know about Google’s release habits, they typically release a developer preview for Android early in the year. This will later be followed by an official announcement at Google I/O where they detail some of the features and changes we can expect, and then a full release in the later part of the year.

Given that we’re now towards the end of Q1 2019, it stands to believe that we could be approaching the release of the developer preview. In fact in a tweet by XDA Developers’ editor-in-chief, Mishaal Rahman, the bug tracker for Android Q has already been opened which suggests that the release of the developer preview could be close at hand.

If that appeals to you then you’ll be interested to know that Kingdom Heart themed rooms will be opening up in the Disney Ambassador Hotel at the Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan this March.

These rooms will be limited to three adults and will feature two regular sized beds and one trundle bed. Prices start from over 46,000 yen or $400 per night. True to form, the door can be opened with a key that looks like a Keyblade.

If you want to be able to stream VLC from your phone or computer onto your TV, there are several ways you can go about doing that. However the good news for Android users is that according to a report from Variety, VLC for Android is expected to get an update in the future that will bring about support for Apple’s AirPlay protocol.

This was confirmed by Jean-Baptiste Kempf, one of VLC’s lead developers who stated that the update would be coming in a future update. What this means is that if you own an Android device with VLC, you will be able to stream content on it onto an AirPlay compatible device such as an Apple TV, or one of the many AirPlay-compatible TVs that was announced at CES earlier this week.

As it stands, the headphones already support Google Assistant, but for added variety and to give users more options, the update will make Alexa available as an option as well.
