Up until now Mazda has been doing business in South Africa through their overseas affiliate company, Ford. Going forth, Mazda Southern Africa will take on all business-related aspects of Mazda sales in the region and will begin hiring new corporate employees and local sales representatives in order to begin business in July 2014 (tentative).
Mazda Motor Corporation announced today that it has established a national sales company in South Africa. The company, named Mazda Southern Africa (Pty.) Ltd. (MSA), was established in July 2013 and will begin operations in July 2014. The move will enable Mazda to independently control the import and sale of Mazda vehicles as well as the provision of customer services. Mazda aims to expand its business and further strengthen the Mazda brand in South Africa.
